tales from uni
The six boys stayed in the lane next to ours. Their backyard faced the backyard of another house, occupied by 10 girls (one of them being my friend,G, from my hometown!). The first weekend in uni, the boys decided to just stay back, instead of going back to their hometowns, like most of us did.
On Saturday, one of the boys, J, saw the girls from the opposite house all singing and dancing gaily. He called his other housemates to watch the spectacle :)

According to my sweetie, the boys had a nice time watching the girls enjoying themselves.
The following Monday, J casually remarked to G;
J: “You girls sure did have a nice time singing and dancing last Saturday”.
G: “Dancing? Us? What are you talking about? All of us went back to our hometowns for the weekend!”
J: {pale in the face} Oh.
Indeed, all of the girls did go back that weekend. There was no one in that house.
One week later, all the girls moved out of that house.

EEK! Ghosts, I'm guessing? That's all those girls needed, some ghosts going around putting on a show for the boys, giving them a reputation! It's a good thing the ghosts stopped at dancing! Imagine if they'd done a strip tease or something. Leave it to the spirit of some dead women to make life difficult for some living women! Sheesh! :)
HAha...:)
Nice one..
The guy must have really been mesmerized by some really happy female ghosts..
*smiles* haha...
librarian: lol. leave it to you to make the incident seem funny!

REminds me of a time when I lived in an apartment on 10th Street in NYC. The apartment above me had been renovated and one night I heard footsteps and dancing and the cigarette smoke was so thick it was coming through my window from upstairs.
The next morning, I went to my supers apartment and said, "Julio, I'm sorry to complain about my new upstairs neighbors after their first night here, but they had me up ALL NIGHT!"
Julio replied, "Bhakti, no one has moved in to that apartment. What are you talking about??"
We went upstairs and took a look in the apartment. It was empty save for some empty beer bottles and a bottle of Jack. I noticed the fire escape window was open--
"Julio!" I said, "Why is the window open????"
"Oh, I thought the fresh paint would dry quicker with the window open."
I stood there thinking, 'that's nice. Some squatters were in the apartment above me all night because my super left the fire escape window open!"
That was scary, too!
darling: no problemo! :)
bhakti: lol. you had my imagination running wild for a while there!
chris: lol. that`s an interesting choice of word!
