The moment a child is born, the mother is also born. She never existed before. The woman existed, but the mother, never. A mother is something absolutely new. ~Rajneesh

all for love - part 5

I walked in to a sight that invoked various emotions in me last night. First came shock, then anger, and finally, total frustration. My beloved significant other was cleaning the small water fountain in the office room. With my towel! The towel I use to wipe my body with after my bath. Yes, that towel.

The said emotions ran through me in the space of 3 seconds. Dumbfounded, I asked him, in a calm voice;

“Why are you cleaning it with my towel?"

“I am just wiping it. It’s not so dirty.”

O.K.

“There is a wash cloth I use to clean it.”

“Oh."

Oh? Instead of picking up a fight over a petty matter (gosh, have I grown up or what), I simply walked towards him and admired his cleaning methods.

LOL. This is the guy who holds my heart.
*Sigh*

Thank GOD I have many towels.

OMG, all men must be this way! My boyfriend will use anything handy as a tool or rag, even my favorite down blanket to dab a small spill (ARRGH!!!) or my expensive gold Pooh pen as a screwdriver (GRRR!!!) without batting an eyelash, and then get angry when I spend money on things like new blankets because I saw him soil it earlier. If I bought everything at garage sales like he does, maybe destroying all his stuff would be okay since they only total $10.15 to furnish his home, but NOT ME! I do believe these are the true tests of love. It's good to see we both have men worthy of overlooking it. Yikes.

Oh, and I left you a comment last night from your last post, welcomming you home and that, but I don't see it there now. :( So, in case it never shows up, I just want to say that I'm glad you had fun, a good holiday, good food, and I'm glad your back too. :)

Breakthrough! You figured out guy language! He thinks he is doing you a favor by cleaning, you think "what kind of idiot would think that using my towel to wipe up dirt and slime is ok?" and you compromised! I love it! I love you! How awesome.

Thanks for the smile.

I eradicated any chance for my male other-half to do that. Basically the visible and most reachable cute little towel that i hang in the bath, is meant to wipe the floor. He can do anything with it, even wiping himself (don't think he has done so yet). My personal face towel is hidden in the most difficult corner to reach. :D
