The moment a child is born, the mother is also born. She never existed before. The woman existed, but the mother, never. A mother is something absolutely new. ~Rajneesh

the duck walk

I have wanted to write about this for quite some time yet, but only now am getting to it. Actually, I was more inspired by a certain duck-walker whom I saw today, and knew it in my heart that the time has come for me to give my two cents worth of opinion.

Who is a duck walker?
A female (heaven forbid if guys started doing this!) who sways her hips on purpose to the left and right, without mastering her feet co-ordination. Can`t imagine?

Well, try walking with your hips going to the left and your right foot slanted slightly 45 degrees to the right. And vice versa.

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is a duck walk.

And it`s really annoying, amusing and disgusting to watch. Pitiful too.
Come on, duck walker, if you don`t have a natural sway to the hips, then don`t create one!

I know, I know. I`m being mean. But seriousssssssssly. It`s a sad sight to see. I wonder if guys can tell the difference between a natural sway and a fake one…?

It is a sad fact that women tend to be more critical towards other women, but sometimes one simply cannot help oneself. Like me. I really (and I really mean really), try not to judge these “wanna-be”s, but I can`t help myself.

At times, I have to restrain myself from walking up to one of these duck-walkers and give it to them straight. And spend the next couple of days recovering from a broken nose, probably.

:p

Well, someone really should. Sadly, it won`t be me.

Gee, I wonder what people think about my walk?

I think society has trained (or brainwashed, whichever you prefer) women to be critical of themselves. Because of the competitive spirit in our survival instincts we use this critical "eye" to judge our "competition". Quite sad, but VERY human. Even the most secure woman finds themselves picking apart women they run into in every day life, at least in my experience. It only goes to show that the same socilization tells girls how they need to act, even if it doesn't come naturally to them. Individualism is not rewarded in our society but conformity is. Nevermind that these women look absolutely ridiculous, they will continue to do it just to try to "fit in". Very sad really.
