happy birthday, mom
Today is my mom`s birthday. I love her lots.
My mom is what one calls charming. She always manages to be the centre of attention wherever she goes, even without meaning too. She can engage a crowd in conversation without them feeling bored. Sigh! I wish I was charming like her!
I can`t believe we used to fight a lot while I was growing up.
But at that time, I felt like she did not understand me. Oh the tantrums I used to throw just to spite her. Even then, she made me laugh like no other. I guess we had our share of good and bad days.
I never used to keep secrets from my mother. Yes, we quarreled a lot, but we always made up immediately after. The longest I did not speak to her might have been a day. She loved me too much to ignore me. LOL.
Before my sweetie and I “officially” became a couple, she was the first person I rang up and spoke to. Much to my surprise, she did not berate me (like I expected!). Instead, she asked me when she can come and meet him. I think she felt it in her heart that it was right :)

We got so much closer once I entered university. LOL. She called me at least 3 times every single day. Until today, I speak to her on the phone at least 3 times a day.
