my vacation

phew.
that is how i would describe my too short vacation on the beach.
we reached the place late at night on tuesday, and slept to the sounds of waves and serenity.
or i should say the ladies slept, while the guys drank and chatted the night away.
typical.

the ocean

i was up as early as 7.45am, as i wanted to take a walk along the beach before it got too hot. woke my sis up (i have to admid, i had a hard time getting her to wake up. guess she is not such an early riser).
and waited for ages for her to get ready. and i do mean ages. i mean, only she can almost half an hour to get ready while the sounds of waves splashing against the rocks beckons.
after lathering ourselves with sun block lotion, we were ready for our walk.
and what a walk we had!
there is nothing nicer than the feel of water splashing against your legs, your feet sinking into the soft sand, and the cool breeze against your face. it felt heavenly!

we joined the rest of the group after snapping a few pictures and when the sun got too hot.

late that afternoon, much to the chagrin of my sis, i joined the guys in playing black jack. my sweetie doesnt know how to play, so he was my investor :) luckily i won him a few bucks!

a few of us went to the beach in the evening. oh what fun we had frolicking in the water! my sis convinced me to try "mud bath". yeww. i don`t know what made me apply clay over my arms. it was most possibly one of the most disgusting thing i have done in my life.

we had a barbeque that night. it was enjoyable for the guys who also happen to be in the same business field. i was fighting sleep. i think my sis was quite bored, as she was the only teenager in the group. my sweetie was off to dreamland at about 10pm. i tried to stay awake and join the talk, but was not able to for long. using my sis as an excuse, i went to bed about 12pm.

the next morning, all of us were dead tired. suprisingly, none of the guys were suffering from hangovers. guess it was because they did not drink much. which was pretty weird. but i`m not complaining!

we had lunch, and went to a thai fair where i did some shopping. we left to home in the afternoon.

it took me the whole of friday and saturday to recover some much needed sleep. my poor sis is suffering from sunburn. it was, in my opinion, a brief yet fun filled vacation. i am already planning for another beach vacation sometime in november. i think i will visit an island then. i am so looking forward to it! hope you enjoyed the pictures :)
