you have to be kidding me; this guy was nominated for the nobel peace prize??
So, he was not granted clemency. Honestly, I hoped Governor Schwarzenegger would not grant him mercy from is scheduled execution. 
Stanley Tookie Williams is a man who was convicted of murdering 4 people. He was also the co-founder of the gang Crips, which, according to the authorities, is responsible for hundreds of deaths, many during the battle for turf and control of the drug trade.
Just because he started writing children’s books, claimed he is a changed man and celebrities took an interest in him he should have been granted clemency?
Heck, no.
This guy refused to apologize or atone for the murders he committed. He also refused to indulge any information on the Crips gang for fear of being labeled a snitch. Come on, you have been labeled a murderer, and you worry people might call you a snitch?
I also don’t understand how on earth he could have been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize five times. Yes, five times! I think it is outrageous to even place his name alongside people like Mother Theresa.
If Ted Bundy has said he was really, really sorry he killed all those 30 people (although people say the count is nearly 100), and he started to write books from jail advising teens to stop watching porn or be peeping toms as they might turn out like him, and celebrities started rallying against his execution, should he have been pardoned??

I'm not an advocate for the death penalty; however, I do believe that if "Tookie" DID admit to killing these four people, and it was found to be absolutely him and no one else, that it would a slap in the face to the families of the victims if he were to be pardoned.
I also think it was ridiculous for "Tookie" to not rat out his partners in crime. The guys on death row...what did he have to fear?? I'm sure the government would have made sure that he was in a single cell if they had reduced his sentence to life in prison without perole (if he had givent them information).
As far as the Nobel Peace Prize. That's a slap inteh face to everyone in the past who was ever nominated. I DO believe that people can turn their lives around and do good for others; however, I don't think "Tookie" is a prime example of this kind of person.
BTW--Ted Bundy looks like a murderer in that photo. I haven't seen too many pictures of him, and I certainly can't stomach the TV programs regarding his life story. That stuff makes me shudder.

I love these celebrities that get involved. They don't even know the legal system because anytime they do something, they get a slap on the wrist or get away with it. OJ, Robert Blake, Winona Ryder - they make me sick. I would love to see them take the subway late at night instead of a limo - they talk about the real world like they live in it.
