memories - ant wrestling

Growing up, my cousin and I were very close. Being a pampered, unfriendly child, I only had him as my playmate. One of the games we used to play was “Ant Wrestling”.

We had to catch one red and one black ant. Put them near each other, and they start fighting. Most often than not, black ants triumphed over red ones.

Since it always resulted in death, we thought it would only be appropriate if the victims were sent off to wherever ants go after death with proper funerals. I always played the role of the person who recited kind words in memory of the perished ant. After all, they died glorious deaths in battles.

This game was abruptly stopped the moment I learnt about karma.

Yeah, i was that scared, even then, of doing anything that would land me in hell, or was considered a sinful act.
